Lodewikus Smit grew up in George and matriculated from York High School in 2016. He obtained his LLB-degree from Stellenbosch University (SU) in 2022 and joined the firm in January 2023. He was admitted to practice as an attorney on 25 April 2025.

MEGAN ROSE SMIT

Megan matriculated from La Rochelle Girls’ High School in Paarl in 2017. She obtained her LLB-degree from Stellenbosch University (SU) in 2022 and joined the firm in February 2024. She was admitted to practice as an attorney on 7 November 2025.

Megan is responsible for Debt Collection and Civil Litigation matters. Her areas of special interest are General litigation, Property Law, Administrative Law and Environmental Law. Megan is currently undertaking coursework for her conveyancing exams, and we are excited to soon add this area to our firm under her leadership.

Jannine Petersen

Jannine joined the firm 4 years ago and is our exceptional and always-friendly, patient and helpful Receptionist. She is in control of all the diaries of the attorneys and handles account payments and much more.
Leonie Jacobs

Leonie joined the firm 18 years ago and is one of our Collections team. She is a very caring, spontaneous and approachable person. If you do not know who to contact regarding the letter of demand or summons that you have received, you may contact Leonie.
Mariana Swart

Mariana joined the firm 4 years ago and is our General Litigation secretary and the person responsible for debtor accounts. She is a very experienced legal secretary with more than 30 years’ experience obtained at various law firms. She is our local provider of laughter and can always be counted upon to lighten a stressful moment.
Jo-Verdene Gunn

Jo-Verdene joined the firm 5 years ago and is our Estates and Transfers go-to lady. She is a very experienced legal secretary with more than 20 years’ experience. She always goes the extra mile for her clients and goes out of her way to assist.
Marietjie Kruger

Marietjie joined the firm 9 years ago and is our Local Government and Administrative Law legal secretary. She has a degree in communications and is our unofficial office manager and in-house bookkeeper. She is an experienced legal secretary with 30 years’ experience obtained at various law firms. She quietly but very efficiently keeps the office running and may be contacted for all creditor related matters.
